As a result of the search operations in the Republic of Karelia, a 46-year-old previously convicted man was arrested, who will soon be taken to St. Petersburg.

According to the preliminary version, the suspect stabbed a local resident born in 1959 and his son, born in 1979, with a knife on April 7, near a hotel located on Victory Square, for unknown reasons, and then disappeared.

As a result of his injuries, one victim died at the scene, and his father was hospitalized in a hospital.

Earlier, a criminal case was also initiated upon the discovery of the body of a 38-year-old resident with head injuries in the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg.
