Uber
application
is available again from today in
Barcelona
, with taxi, car-sharing or
car-sharing services
and information on public transport in the city.
As reported by the company in a statement, the
Uber
application
is available in
Barcelona
from 8:00 am today.
It offers a taxi intermediation service that connects users with professional taxi drivers in the Barcelona metropolitan area and can be requested from the Uber application.
The price of the trip will be marked by the meter and the user will be able to pay through the application.
One year after launching the taxi service in
Madrid
, more than 2,000 taxi drivers have registered on the platform and the number of taxi drivers registered with
Uber
has doubled since August.
Uber has held meetings with the association of taxi drivers
Elite Taxi
, the
Barcelona City Council
and the
Generalitat
and has committed to carrying out an investment plan for the taxi, betting on the electrification of the sector with discounts for taxi drivers who operate with Uber in select
Nissan
electric models
.

will make available fuel discounts throughout its network of gas stations and taxi drivers who join
Uber
will have access to all the coverages of the
AXA
protection program for
free, including medical coverage and maternity or paternity coverage.
Uber
also offers
discounted carpool services

Barcelona
and collects information on the
Barcelona
metro
, buses in the metropolitan area and trains, including the final price of the journey.
The user receives real-time information on arrival times, as well as suggestions for combinations to reach their final destination.

integrates information on public transport services in its application.
