Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Two former Green district politicians continue to take legal action against Hamburg's Justice Senator and Greens state chairman Anna Gallina.

A lawyer had already filed a private suit for him and Fatih Karismaz with the district court on Monday for insult, defamation and defamation against Gallina, Shafi Sediqi told the German Press Agency on Tuesday.

Several media had previously reported about it.

It is about allegations of Islamism against Karismaz and Sediqi, which the Green state executive made after the 2019 district assembly election but never proved.

The Hamburg public prosecutor's office had opened an investigation against Gallina and two other Green politicians after corresponding reports, but stopped in July 2020 for formal reasons because the report was filed too late.

As part of a private lawsuit, it is possible to initiate criminal proceedings for certain offenses even without the public prosecutor's office.

Insults are one of them.

You have now gone this way, "because we have doubts about the time limit," said Sediqi.

He accused Gallina of "apparently repeating her false claims against a lawyer against her better judgment at the beginning of September".

Sediqi and Karismaz, who have since left the Greens and joined the SPD, see the allegations as an intrigue of the former parliamentary group chairman in the Mitte district and ex-life partner of Gallinas, Michael Osterburg, with whom the latter advocated a defeat in the Fight for a place on the list wanted to return the favor.

The accused had always denied this.

There is also an investigation against Osterburg because of the misappropriation of parliamentary group funds, through which his former partner has also come under political pressure.
