The relevant person in charge of Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. said that the cold performance test is a large-scale comprehensive special commissioning test for nuclear power plants. The main purpose is to verify the performance of the primary circuit system and equipment and its auxiliary pipelines under high pressure, and under various pressure platforms. Carrying out related tests of the main system and auxiliary system is the first comprehensive test of the performance of the entire reactor.
Fuqing Nuclear Power Station is located in Qianxue Village, Sanshan Town, Fuqing City, Fuzhou City. It plans to build 6 million-kilowatt-class PWR nuclear power units. The project will be planned and constructed continuously, with a total investment of nearly 100 billion yuan. Units 1-4 adopt second-generation improvements. This type of mature nuclear power technology, Unit 5-6 is a demonstration project of "Hualong One".
Among them, Hualong-1, the world's first Fuqing nuclear power unit 5, has been connected to the grid for power generation on November 27, 2020.
