The prosecutor's office began checking after a fire in the FMBA laboratory in the Moscow region

"The prosecutor's office of the Moscow region organized an inspection in connection with a fire in the laboratory of the scientific center of biomedical technologies of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia," the statement says.

The department explained that "the check is being carried out for compliance with the legislation on fire safety."
