According to VGTRK Smolensk, users reported about the tragedy on social networks. It is reported that a man who was clearing snow on the roof was mauled by a bear that had been kept in an enclosure at the establishment for more than twenty years.

The report clarifies that at some point the man’s leg fell into the cage, after which the bear grabbed the worker and seriously injured him. The man died from his injuries.

Later, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported an accident in a cafe located on the M-1 Moscow-Minsk highway. The incident is being investigated.

“Based on the results of the inspection and if there are grounds, the prosecutor’s office will take all necessary response measures,” the message states.

Earlier it was reported about a fire in a private house in Birobidzhan, which killed four people, including a child.
