From today (17th) to 29th, the military is raising the'distance within the military' for all units in the metropolitan area and Gangwon area to 1.5 steps.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, members of the metropolitan area and Gangwon area are prohibited from entering 5 types of entertainment facilities (club and room salons, etc.

If you are caught entering and exiting, you will be subject to discipline.

In the case of soldiers living in the metropolitan area and Gangwon area, as well as those living in areas whose distances have been raised to 1.5 steps among other basic local governments, a'postponement of vacation' can be recommended at the discretion of the field commander.

A person who has been on leave before discharge will not return to the unit and will be discharged immediately at the end of the leave.

Vacations for soldiers residing in the rest of the area are normally implemented in compliance with the current quarantine regulations.

In the case of military outings, guidelines have been issued so that the field commander can determine and control the areas where a large number of confirmed cases have occurred by local government.

The use of religious facilities on the premises is also partially restricted.

Religious facilities in the metropolitan area and Gangwon area can only be used by soldiers on the premises.

Units that do not have religious facilities on the premises have provided separate spaces such as online or on-site restaurants to ensure the religious activities of soldiers.

However, in any case, the number of people is limited to 30% of the seating capacity.

Religious facilities outside the territory are used by active duty soldiers by separating the space from civilians, including reserves, and meetings and meals in religious facilities are also prohibited.

In addition, civilian instructors residing in areas where the distance step 1.5 or higher is applied are not eligible for invitation.

The military said that all others will be converted to non-face-to-face training, except when'face-to-face training' is required.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Defense decided to apply the stricter quarantine regulations to the military bases in Gangwon Province during the same period, ``Second Distance Distance''.

This is taking into account that executives are more likely to contact civilians outside the unit.

Accordingly, the Gangwon region's military executives are required to'wait for accommodation after work' and refrain from drinking or private meetings.

Deputy spokeswoman Moon Hong-sik at the Ministry of Defense said in a regular briefing yesterday, "Especially in the case of the military, if one becomes infected, there may be considerable loopholes in quarantine measures while being vigilant, and there is also a concern for large-scale group infection."
