12 October 2020 Final free passage of the Chamber of Deputies to the August decree, now law.

It contains urgent measures to support and revive the economy during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Chamber of Deputies approved the dl (which had already obtained the Senate's ok), with 265 yes, 180 no and 2 abstentions.

A few hours earlier, the confidence in the measure had been approved, with 294 yes, 217 no and 2 abstentions.

The decree, in the text identical to that licensed by the Senate, had to be converted into law by tomorrow, under penalty of expiry.

The measure is worth 25 billion in terms of debt and contains various measures, including extensions, in support of the economic and social sectors affected by the crisis linked to the Covid emergency.

The decree-law completes the package of almost 100 billion measures taken in 2020 and has recorded a series of corrections at first reading.

The provision also merged three decrees already under examination by the Senate and always linked to the emergency, on schools and on electoral and referendum voting.

The resources of the changes accepted by the Senate Budget Committee mainly went to measures to protect fragile workers;

for SMEs and VAT numbers, the extension was reached at the end of October for tax payments with an increase of 0.8% but without penalties, while the temporary exemption from Tosap was extended to street vendors.
