The Dubai Health Authority approved the price of its seasonal influenza vaccine, to 50 dirhams, including administrative fees, and required all relevant organizational units in the authority to take the necessary measures to put the new decision into effect, each in his field of competence.

According to Administrative Decision No. 124 of 2020, issued by the Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, Hamid Muhammad Al Qatami, regarding the approval of the price of the seasonal influenza vaccine at the state's hospitals and health centers, fees of 50 dirhams are approved for the seasonal influenza vaccine.

And she continued: “The decision comes after the Dubai Finance Department adopted a decision to reduce the price of the seasonal influenza vaccine, dated 10/05/20,” and the decision aims to reduce the economic burden on community members and facilitate access to the vaccine for all.

The authority had recently launched a wide campaign to raise awareness of seasonal influenza, targeting various groups of society, especially those most vulnerable to complications from the disease. The procedures provided by the authority to facilitate the process of obtaining the vaccine include direct contact to one of the three medical fitness centers, which are: Smart Salem Center in City Walk, Uptown Mirdif Center, and JLT Center from Sunday to Thursday from 7 am to 7:30 pm Without a prior appointment, while the vaccine can be obtained at various primary health care centers of the authority after booking an appointment in advance through the Dubai Health Authority Unified Call Center (800342).

The vaccine is free for citizens and residents over 65 years of age, pregnant women, children and people of determination.
