It is known that Tan Kefei is the seventh news spokesperson since the establishment of the spokesperson system by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense.
According to the resume published on the Ministry of National Defense website, Tan Kefei, male, was born in Liaoning in 1975.
He was admitted to the People's Liberation Army Foreign Languages Institute in 1994. After graduation in 1998, he served as assistant translator, secretary, legal officer, and deputy chief of division.
In December 2019, he served as Deputy Director of the Information Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense and Spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense.
Military rank of colonel.
He studied at Peking University Law School and obtained a master's degree in law.
Married with a daughter.
Currently, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense has three spokespersons.
