“Pavel Pustovoy has been deprived of the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the First Class for improper performance of official duties,” the agency said.
It is noted that Lukashenka signed the corresponding decree on August 31.
As RIA Novosti reports, Pustovoy said earlier that for a peaceful resolution of the situation in Belarus, it is necessary to recount the votes in the presidential elections.
Earlier, the German Foreign Ministry invited the Ambassador of Belarus in Berlin to an "urgent" conversation due to the detention and revocation of accreditation of journalists.
