  • The Alsatian singer Pauline won this Sunday the German  telecrochet Immer Wieder Sonntags, broadcast on the first channel Das Erste.
  • His single Sommer in Marseille  obtained 63% of the votes.
  • With 20 minutes, she returns to this "very beautiful human adventure" and her plans to break into the world of schlager, popular music in Germany.

Since Sunday, she hasn't stopped. Winner of the German program Immer Wieder Sonntags, a telecrochet broadcast on the first channel Das Erste, the Alsatian singer Pauline is in great demand. "There are a lot of requests for concerts, from the media, on social networks ... I am recognized in the street too", laughs the young girl of 19 years, who nevertheless took the time to remind 20 Minutes this Monday. With the same simplicity as in July, when she debuted on the show watched by nearly a million viewers.

You have barely recovered from your emotions… How was the grand finale of the show on Sunday?

It was good, it was cool! I was up against a new opponent, Markus Grill, who won the first part of the game. I thought it was going to be tight because he also won six duels. About 20,000 people voted by phone and a little before the end, that was the great outcome!

Did you expect to win the show?

Not really. I thought it would be tight but got 63% of the vote. It was a nice surprise to have such a lead. At the time, I was very moved but I did not cry. It was after it came, when I realized it was over and what was happening.

Exactly, what changes this success in your life?

Now I am taken a little more seriously. It is as if I had entered through the front door into the world of schlager (popular music in Germany). This show gave me enormous visibility. My career is taking off, everything is accelerating!

What's your suite now?

My album, "Von Paris nach Berlin", will be released on September 18th. There will be 17 songs on it, some in French. The others will be in German but with a lot of words in French, the Germans love it! There will of course be my single Sommer in Marseille  but nothing else in the city! There is another song, where I'm talking about Avignon. I don't know how many copies the album will be printed. It will be downloadable, accessible in streaming but also on CD. This is normal because even if there are young people among my audience, the majority are over 50 years old.

Do you already have a scheduled tour?

No Still not ! I took part in a concert in front of 600 people last Thursday, at the Robin Leon Fest [named after the show's first Alsatian winner, in 2016] and more are planned. On September 11, for example, I will be in Monswiller (in Alsace).

Today, do you manage to make a living from your activity?

No, but soon I hope! I didn't win money at Immer Wieder Sonntags, just a trophy. My parents are helping me at the moment, but I quit my studies and singing is my main source of income.

What can we wish you now?

I have already lived a very beautiful human adventure. Now, that everything continues on this momentum and that we can once again organize beautiful concerts with an increasingly large audience.
