Seven duels won and a triumph at the finish! Alsatian singer Pauline, her stage name, won Immer Wieder Sonntags on Sunday , a telecrochet broadcast on the first German television channel, Das Erste.
In front of more than a million viewers, the young girl, almost 20 years old, obtained 63% of the votes in the final thanks to her song Sommer in Marseille (Summer in Marseille). “Performing seven Sundays in a row on the same stage as the biggest names in schlager (German popular music) was a dream come true for me who have been in the audience many times. I will never forget this great human adventure ”, she declared after her success.
Pauline is the second person from Alsace to win the prestigious show, after Robin Leon, crowned in 2016.
