Khalifa bin Zayed issues a law on decorations, medals and badges at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters

According to the provisions of the law, medals are awarded by a decision from the Ruler based on the recommendation of the Commander in Chief and the approval of the Chairman of the Executive Council, and it is considered the highest degree of honor and appreciation, while the medals and badges of appreciation are awarded by a decision of the Commander in Chief based on the recommendation of the Director General of Abu Dhabi Police .. A special committee shall be formed by a decision from the Commander in Chief to examine the requests for awarding medals, medals and badges of appreciation, and to recommend choosing those whom it deems to fulfill the conditions for the award, and it shall submit its recommendations to the competent authorities to order that they be awarded.

The medal, medal, or merit badge and the innocence of each of them shall be the property of the person to whom it was granted from among those covered by the provisions of this law.

It is permissible to award any of the medals, medals and badges of appreciation referred to in this law to any deceased after the date of his death, and in this case it is received to his legal heirs.

The medals, medals, badges, and innocence of each of them stipulated in this law and its executive regulations remain in the possession of the heirs of the grantee - within his estate - by way of memorial, and none of them has the right to carry them, and their holders or their heirs may not dispose of them, nor may they be seized.

Medals, medals, medals and badges awarded in accordance with the provisions of this law are preceded by the medals, medals, medals and badges granted by the federal and local authorities in the country, and the decorations, medals, medals and badges granted by Arab countries precede the medals, medals, medals and insignia granted by other foreign countries. .

It is permissible to deprive any of the General Command or military personnel or community members who are subject to the provisions of this law from the medals, medals and badges of appreciation that have been awarded to them if a final judgment is issued against them in a crime that breaches honor or trust, or if they commit something that does not comply with the requirements of Fidelity to the homeland.

Medals, medals, medals and badges that were granted prior to the effective date of the provisions of this law shall continue to be carried, and the sums of money associated with them continue to be granted to their beneficiaries or their heirs.

The executive regulations of this law shall be issued by a decision of the Commander-in-Chief after the approval of the Executive Council, and the procedures for awarding medals, medals, appreciation badges, rights and privileges prescribed to the bearer of any of them shall be issued, as well as the forms, drawings, specifications, standards and insignia issued by them ..
