May 06, 2020 The Israeli Supreme Court validated the government agreement between Benjamin Netanyahu and his former rival Benny Gantz. The country's supreme court unanimously rejected both petitions aimed at preventing Netanyahu from being accused as prime minister and those filed against the government agreement between the leaders of Likud and Blue and White.

The verdict paves the way for the oath of the new government, announced for May 13, and which will end the longest political crisis in Israel's history.

judges ruled that there are no legal justifications for preventing Netanyahu from holding the post of prime minister and there is no way to intervene on the coalition agreement.
