An official source at the Ministry of Health and Community Protection said that the decision of the Council of Ministers to publish and exchange health information on communicable diseases and epidemics, and misinformation related to human health, is effective from today, and it is forbidden for all doctors in the government and private sectors, at the state level, to provide any information About «Corona Covid-19» whether for the media or via social media.


The source pointed out to «Emirates Today» that the decision put a mechanism to announce and publish information about communicable diseases and epidemics, in order to ensure their validity and free of any misleading or incorrect information, which is the necessity of adopting the information by the official authorities, and then allowing its publication through the National Authority for Management Emergencies, crises and disasters.

According to the source, the doctor or the authorized entity bears the legal responsibility stated in the decision, as well as the authority to publish information, in the event of non-compliance with it.

The Cabinet’s decision prohibits any person based on the decision to publish, re-publish, or circulate false, misleading, misrepresented, or not officially announced health information or guidelines, or is not approved by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection or the health authority, or is contrary to what has been announced, using Audio, print or visual media, social media, websites, IT means or other methods of publishing or trading.
