Russians wishing to leave Britain flew from London to Moscow

“A special flight of Aeroflot airline on the route Moscow - London, organized for the export of interested British citizens from Russia, took place on April 18,” the diplomatic department said.

Several Russian citizens flew on a return flight, finding themselves in Britain “in a particularly difficult situation and in need of urgent evacuation to their homeland for humanitarian reasons”.

Upon arrival in Moscow, they will have to withstand quarantine.

Earlier, the British ambassador to Russia, Deborah Bronnert, thanked the Russian Foreign Ministry and Aeroflot for their help in returning the British to their homeland.
