The site which advises people fearing having the coronavirus has already been used 4 million times, helping notably to relieve congestion on the 15th, the emergency telephone number, said Tuesday Cédric O, the Secretary of State for digital.

The site implemented by the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and the Pasteur Institute asks around thirty questions to people suspecting contamination, while respecting their anonymity.

He advises them on what to do, such as waiting, calling their doctor or calling 15 directly.

"This made it possible to significantly decongest the 15th in Ile-de-France", with a sharp drop in the number of non-urgent calls, explained Cédric O before the Senate's Economic Affairs Committee.

The site, which asks for the user's postal code, also made it possible to "see the evolution of the epidemic live" on a geographical level, said the Secretary of State.

With home monitoring applications for patients like Covidom, the site has also made it possible to highlight the symptoms of loss of taste and smell for those affected, explained MO.

"It was partly" thanks to these tools "that we saw the explosion of these symptoms, which the doctors felt good but could not quantify," he said.
