Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun reaffirmed on Monday that his country had taken control of the pandemic of the emerging coronavirus.

President Teboun pledged, according to official Algerian television today, to reform the country's health system, improve working conditions for health personnel, and review the payroll network.

Taboun praised the efforts of the medical teams in confronting the Corona pandemic, considering the solidarity and fraternal gift of the Algerian people of all walks of life as a "new start" for Algeria.

According to the TV, Tbon today visited some health units in Algiers, which he started from Beni Messous Hospital in the upper reaches of the capital, where he listened to the concerns of doctors and health workers.

As of Sunday, Algeria had recorded 293 deaths and 1914 confirmed injuries, while 590 people recovered, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
