Infection killed in Burkina Faso, Africa 7:54 on March 20 first in sub-Saharan desert
Burkina Faso health officials have said on Friday that one infected person has died as the new coronavirus infection spreads in Africa. This is the first time that infected people have died in sub-Saharan Africa.
The woman died, a 62-year-old opposition lawmaker, who was vice-chairman in Congress.
In Burkina Faso, 27 people have been infected, including women who have died.
