Fewer passengers on the Vasa ferry - negotiating to reduce costs

- The number of passengers has decreased significantly due to corona. People move much less generally, says CEO Peter Ståhlberg.

The cooperation negotiations start on Wednesday and mean that the shipping company sits down with the employees and looks at solutions to reduce costs.

- We do not want to be notified, but are preparing for traffic to stop. Then we'll see what it leads to. We want to be prepared in case of new restrictions, for example, ”says Ståhlberg.

So far the ferry runs as usual between Umeå and Vaasa.

- Our ambition is that we should be in traffic, but we must minimize our costs and cannot brag about as if nothing happened.
