The CDC has announced that 36 people in 17 states have been poisoning by eating this Korean enoki mushroom sold in the United States, killing all four.

In particular, he added that 6 pregnant women had symptoms of infection and 2 were miscarried.

Infection with Listeria causes a variety of symptoms, including high fever, muscle pain, and diarrhea. It is known to be particularly dangerous for pregnant women and the elderly.

The CDC advised against eating Korean enoki mushrooms until further notice.

The FDA and the Food and Drug Administration also ordered this importer to recall all Korean Enoki mushrooms.

In addition, the US health authorities are conducting a joint investigation into what causes Korean mushrooms imported from this company to be contaminated with Listeria bacteria and whether there are any additional contaminated foods.
