The press secretary of the Prime Minister, Al-Baraq Al-Nazir, told Agence France-Presse that the Prime Minister "chaired a meeting (after the assassination attempt) for the Council of Ministers, and before that he chaired a meeting with the forces of freedom and change."

For its part, the UAE strongly condemned the criminal attack that targeted the procession of Hamdok, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed in a statement that the UAE expresses its strong condemnation of this criminal targeting and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing security and stability, and is inconsistent with religious and human values ​​and principles .

The Ministry expressed the UAE's standing with the brotherly Sudan, and supporting its transitional phase in a way that guarantees stability and peace for Sudan, and in a manner that meets the aspirations and hopes of its brotherly people.

The joint United Nations and African Union peacekeeping mission in the Darfur region of western Sudan (UNAMID) expressed regret over the assassination attempt.

"We have been deeply shocked and deeply saddened by this serious incident, which indicates that the perpetrator of this heinous act aims to derail the transitional period from its course, and target the aspirations of the Sudanese people to move to peace, freedom and justice," the head of the mission, Jeremaya Mama Polo, said in a statement.
