According to reports, at about 2:45 pm local time on the 24th, a car rushed into the carnival parade crowd in the German town of Falkmasson, the driver of the accident was arrested on the spot. At least 30 people were injured in the incident, a third of whom were children and some were seriously injured.

Authorities said the male suspect, 29, is a resident of Falkmasson. The case is currently under investigation, and the suspect's motive is unclear.

The annual "Rose Monday" parade will be held in many places in Germany on the 24th, bringing the German carnival season to a climax. After the collision, Hessian police announced that all carnival parades in the state had ended prematurely.
