Lt. Col. Abdullah Al-Awadi and Sergeant Alaa Abdel-Fattah, of the Ajman Police, have created an alarm and camera to secure donation boxes inside mosques, malls and commercial stores, to reduce the thefts that these funds have been exposed to in the recent period, and it is expected to be implemented and circulated soon.

Al-Awadhi told «Emirates Today» that after increasing the theft of donation funds of the various charitable bodies, he thought about making an alarm to protect these funds from theft.

He explained that the alarm will sound loud if someone tries to steal, open or break the donation box, and connect the device to an automatic camera when the alarm is launched to take a picture of the thief and send a text message to the concerned person or official, telling him that there is an attempt to steal the box and its location.

In turn, Abdel-Fattah said that innovation consists of a camera to photograph people trying to steal boxes, whether when it is broken or opened with the intention of stealing, pointing out that the camera is linked through a special application to broadcast all the video clips remotely.
