- It has been an amazing time that has invited many meetings with members, service people, politicians, the public interest in our issues and a good dialogue with the media. My commitment to Östergötland's farmers, LRF and its members remains strong, but I feel that you have to dare to let go of something when it is still fun and not until you start getting tired, says Peter Borring in a press release.

The nomination committee proposes Jeanette Blackert, who is a pig breeder and plant breeder from Skänninge, as successor.

- It feels fun and exciting to be proposed as chairman. If elected by the AGM, I feel confident that we will continue to push important issues for our members and stand up for competitiveness and future faith in the green industries. I see ahead that we should work more on sustainability issues. Sustainability is the biggest issue in the public debate and we need to be active to be relevant and utilize the potential that exists in our industries, says Jeanette Blackert in the press release.
