Xinjiang Oilfield Jiqing Oilfield operating area will produce more than 630,000 tons of shale oil in 2023. A total of 72 shale oil production wells have been drilled, a new production capacity of 429,000tons has been built, and a total of 55 new wells have be put into production.
Shale oil is an unconventional oil and gas resource with low permeability and poor fluidity. It is one of the most difficult oils to extract. The industry describes it as "squeezing oil out of rocks"
