Reuters and Bloomberg News reports that US airlines are canceling flights to and from Hong Kong following mainland China, and universities are suspending overseas training programs to China, to curb the spread of new coronavirus infection in the United States.

American Airlines, the largest US airline, says it has suspended all flights to and from Hong Kong by the 20th of this month.

As a result, the company's flights between Los Angeles, Dallas and Hong Kong have been canceled.

This was the first time a patient died in Hong Kong with a new corona.

American Airlines previously suspended all flights between Mainland China and the United States until the 27th of next month.

Cruise operator Royal Caribbean Cruises has also said it has canceled eight cruise ships departing from China until the 4th of next month because of a new corona.

The carrier also said it will refuse to board passengers who visited mainland China or Hong Kong in the last 15 days.

American universities are working to protect students and faculty from new coronas, including discontinuing study abroad programs.

Bloomberg reported that Princeton ordered 108 students from China to enter self-containment.

The University of Southern California has also suspended its overseas training program, which was scheduled to begin on the 10th of this month, and Trinity College has returned six students from China.

Duke University, which runs a joint venture Duke Kunshan University in Wuhan University and Jiangsu Province, China, postponed its spring semester classes and banned students and staff from the campus until the 24th of this month.

Duke University also sponsored a $ 1,000 trip to the students, urging them to return home quickly.
