The world's largest boxing tournament for female amateur boxers is surprisingly held in Borås. The Golden Girl Championship, which is being held for the eleventh year in a row, this year has 330 registered boxers from 31 different countries.

- We set new participant records in principle every year. The city is well located geographically for Swedish boxers and the proximity to Landvetter makes it incredibly convenient for most of the world to get here, says organizer Ray Husac.

The tournament will be held in Boråshallen January 31 - February 2 with the elite gala during Saturday night. Local amateur boxer Jeanette “Bad intention” Svensson is one of the favorites. - I lost in terms of results, but it was a big win for myself to step up in the ring today because I have had some cold to deal with this week.

This competition attracts very tough opposition from all over the world, is it good or bad?

- It is fantastic fun and gives a lot of drive to meet international resistance, says Jeanette Svensson from Skene AK. I look forward to it again next year.
