An epic opened by the unrepeatable season of the historical avant-garde, passed through movements and schools often capable of dominating the national scene, or isolated figures of talent out of the ordinary, until the repeatedly announced death of painting and its constant opposite renovation".

"Of this compelling and precious cultural heritage, which has had so much weight in the formation of our contemporary identity, this exhibition hosted at the Eremitani Museum wants to tell a story. It does so through a core of works of exquisite value and interest, in an exciting path capable of combining different experiences, but all essential ".
