Six students in the tenth grade at the Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi School in the Emirate of Fujairah created a submarine to search for lost items on the sea floor, in addition to cleaning seas and water bodies from plastic and harmful weeds.

And the student Mansour Mohammed Al-Zyoudi explained to «Emirates Today» the mechanism of working the submarine remotely, using a computer, through programs that allow controlling it to carry out its tasks, without the need to operate it manually.

He added: “I implemented the project with my colleagues Mansour Abdel Rahman Al Naqbi, Saud Abdulaziz Al Balushi, Omar Ishaq Al Balushi, Khalifa Ibrahim Al Zaabi and Abdullah Khalifa Al Shamsi, all of whom are studying the elite course.” He continued, “We implemented the project in four weeks, with the support of the school and the Ministry of Education, and we conducted the The approximate model of the submarine has many experiences in a school swimming pool, and the results were very satisfactory.

He explained that «the submarine consists of four fans, and a camera to monitor waste or lost at sea, and equipped with devices that enable it to work long hours without stopping, until the tasks entrusted to it are completed», pointing out that the submarine is characterized by its low price, ease of handling and operation without technical complications , In addition to operating it remotely.

He stated that the team participated in the submarine in the competition «ROV», which was organized by the Ministry, and finally managed to qualify for the national competition that will be launched in Abu Dhabi on February 23.
