There are a total of about 60 reports of concern. This applies to 48 children, eight of whom have not been known before by the social services.

- In most cases, we have already been in these families and around these children and made judgments and maybe had interventions and then it did not matter. But eight cases were not known since before, it is really unfortunate. We have now made contact with the parties concerned and based on this we make assessments whether they need protection or support, says Ann-Katrin Lundin.

Violence or drug related

It may involve suspicion of violence against children or be drug related.

- Fortunately, there was nothing that required us to take immediate care of any child. We can think of that as luck, but still it is unacceptable and really awful and it must not happen.

"Investigations in progress"

It was in January 2019 that the municipality of Sollefteå launched an e-service for notifying children. But the service has not worked.

How will you follow up on this?

- Investigations are in progress around the children. When it comes to what has happened and for it not to happen again, other investigations are ongoing, it is because we are going to check what it was that went so crazy and wrong. Above all, it will not happen again, says Ann-Katrin Lundin.
