Dresden author Ingo Schulze has spoken out in favor of negotiations with Russia. He expresses understanding for the fear of many East Germans of escalation.

The 61-year-old also criticizes West German discourse sovereignty in discourse. He believes that the uncertainty that has gripped many people in East Germany can be explained by the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The writer was himself born in Dresden and is the son of a former East German soldier. He is the author of several books about the history of East Germany.
