The weather warning applies to the mountainous regions within the counties of Västerbotten and Norrbotten. For south Lapland mountains, southwesterly strong or very strong winds are expected on calf mountains and in exposed terrain, wind forces of 15-20 meters per second. Expected to decline on Sunday morning.
For northern Lapland mountains, SMHI warns of similar weather but even harsher winds, 17-23 meters per second. Decrease during the day on Sunday.
