“A check is being conducted on the death of two boys of five and eight years old as a result of drowning in an artificial pond,” RIA Novosti reports.

Previously, the children and their mother were visiting relatives, they fell through the ice during a walk through the territory of a private house.

It is noted that investigators and forensic scientists work at the scene of the incident, and relatives are interviewed.

The regional prosecutor’s office also began an investigation into the incident.

Inforeactor previously reported that schoolgirl Elizabeth Shestova was awarded the badge of honor of the All-Russian Society for the Salvation of the Waters for helping two boys who fell under the ice in St. Petersburg.

In December, a test began in the Volgograd Region after two seven-year-old boys fell under the ice of the river in the Pronin farm. One child died, another was hospitalized in serious condition.
