28 December 2018 A fire broke out, late yesterday evening, at the Palazzolo institute, a medical facility for long-term elderly people, in Milan. A patient is said to be in serious condition and the whole ward has been evacuated. According to reports this morning from 118, the people involved were 18 in all, transported one in red code, one yellow and 15 in green. The most seriously injured is hospitalized in Niguarda hospital.

According to the first information, the fire started in a room where the man who suffered the most severe burns was located. Probably the burning of a cigarette left burning. The hospital staff, assisted by the firefighters, proceeded to free the ward and take the patients to a nearby ward of the same facility.
