Involved on four goals of his team, Moussa Dembélé was the great craftsman of the qualification of Lyon for the 16th of finals of France at the expense of Bourg-en-Bresse-Péronnas (Nat), beaten 7 to 0 Saturday.

Dembélé, who had not scored since 23 November on a converted penalty against Nice (2-1), and a total of eight games, gave the advantage to OL in the 17th minute by taking advantage of an error by Mamadou Camara after a missed pass from Houssem Aouar.

The latter was also involved in Lyon's second goal with a good job on the left side and a center badly rejected by Lacour on Dembélé who adjusted the goalkeeper Callamand (41).

In addition to his double, Dembélé also shot the post allowing Martin Terrier to register the third goal of his team from the start of the second period (3-0, 46).

Terrier also touched the post after a service from Dembélé (53), omnipresent on the front of the attack before giving way to Amine Gouiri (78).

In the absence until the end of the season of Memphis Depay and Jeff Reine-Adelaide, operated on one knee just before the break, the performance of Moussa Dembélé is certainly good news for coach Rudi Garcia.

Already winner of the French Cup in Bourg, then in L2, with Marseille (9-0) in February 2018, he had chosen to align his formation in 4-3-3.

- Bourg misses its chance -

2-0 at half-time: the score was flattering for the Lyonnais, who barely spent a good part of the first period against the Burgians, 8th in their championship who knew how to take good initiatives with notably attempts by Junior Anani (13, 29), 2nd top scorer in National (9 goals), or that, far away, of Anthony Ribelin (29).

The best opportunity was for Jérémy Romany, whose shot was hardly diverted by Anthony Lopes from the 9th minute.

That of Ibrahim Sakho also fell very close (53) just before Maxwel Cornet scored the fourth goal for OL on a center from Dembélé, again him (4-0, 54).

The fifth (81) and the seventh (90) were for the young Maxence Caqueret (19) and Rayan Cherki (16) for their first professional achievement and the sixth for Aouar (6-0, 89).

The Lyonnais, launched in a difficult sequence of four matches in two weeks and an athletic preparation aimed at correcting the deficiencies observed in this area this fall, took advantage of the mistakes of the Burgian defense to ensure a sufficient lead at halftime .

Failing to have mastered the first period, Lyon has shown realism. Before quietly managing his end of the match in view of his quarter-final of the League Cup, as of Wednesday against Brest at home.
