After a truce for Christmas, the strike against the savings plan at Radio France resumed fairly discreetly on Tuesday, at the call of the only CGT, without major disruption on the group's channels, apart from the New Years concert in France Music that had to be canceled.

The concert of the National Orchestra of France (which is part of the musical groups of Radio France), was to be broadcast live during New Years Eve. But Radio France warned viewers that it had been canceled due to the social movement.

"Due to a call to strike from a union representative of Radio France, we will not be able to give the concert tonight," warned a message posted on the site of the public group.

Apart from the cancellation of this event, the resumption of the call to strike hardly caused any disturbances on the antenna of the group, especially since it intervenes in the middle of a holiday period.

According to a statement by management, which does not include teams located in the regions, 6.72% of the workforce planned for Tuesday have stopped work.

The unions of Radio France had launched a strike movement on November 25 to obtain the withdrawal of a plan that provides 60 million euros in savings and 299 job cuts (with 76 job creations in parallel).

The CGT, which had launched an indefinite strike (the other unions in the group had called for a more ad hoc mobilization), had suspended its notice from December 22 at midnight, while warning that the movement was likely to resume in early January.

And, despite management's proposals, the union shortly after filed a new notice of unlimited strike action, which came into effect on Tuesday, December 31.
