Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs expresses condolences over the death of an inspector in Magas

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

“Today, in Magas, as a result of the attack, the inspector for the execution of administrative law of the traffic police of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Magas, senior police lieutenant Zelimkhan Kokorkhoev, was killed,” Volk said.

She said that the deceased had a wife and four minor children.

On Tuesday, December 31, at about 5:30 p.m. unknown persons attacked the traffic police post at the entrance to Magas. According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, three police officers were injured, the attackers were neutralized.
