Accommodation sharer Airbnb has decided to ban parties in all of its shared homes to prevent frequent shootings.

Airbnb said in a press release that its "ban on open party-style banquets in all shared housing properties is prohibited, parties notifying social media and inviting a large number of unspecified people are prohibited."

Airbnb stressed that no parties are allowed, especially in large apartment complexes and condominiums in urban areas.

Airbnb added that boutique hotels and professional event facilities out of registered shared properties are exempt from party bans.

"The policy does not apply to parties where the organizer selectively invites a strictly limited number of people," the company explained. "The purpose of this policy is to block indiscriminate intruders who act irresponsibly." Said.

Airbnb has said it will pilot a party ban policy in large cities like Los Angeles, Miami Beach, London, England and Montreal, Canada.

Subsequently, we will clarify the provisions regarding the prohibition of parties in the new customer code of conduct, which will be announced early next year.

Brian Cesky's chief executive officer said earlier that after the shootings at Airbnb's shared property, the company decided to take action to combat malicious customer and host behavior and the risk of unauthorized parties.

Four people were killed and four others were injured during a party on October 31 at a shared property in Orinda, San Francisco Bay, California.

In addition, recent large and small shootings have taken place on Airbnb's shared homes in the United States.
