Earlier, businessman Yorgen Fenech was arrested for the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia in October 2017. Caruana Galizia examined the man's company when she was killed by a car bomb.

Another man arrested

According to reports to both Malta Today and The Guardian, another man has now been arrested and believed to have links to the murder. The man is Keith Schembri, who was previously chief of staff for Malta's prime minister but who resigned earlier this week.

It is businessman Yorgen Fenech who, in interrogation with the police, has stated Schembri's name and believed that he should be the brain behind the operation to murder Caruana Galizia, according to reports to Malta Today.

Protesters demand the departure of the Prime Minister

For several days, protesters have gathered outside the parliament in Malta to put pressure on incumbent Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to step down.
