The general secretary of the Popular Party (PP) of León, José Miguel González , has announced his resignation from his position in the popular formation and also from his deputy minutes.

This has been announced by popular sources to Europa Press and responding to the information published during this week in which it was reported that Gonzalez had lied in his curriculum because he did not have a law degree.

A decision that reads the communiqué is due in his eagerness "for not harming the PP and thus respecting the confidence of the thousands of Lions deposited in it" in the last general elections held in this month of November.

A blow for the popular formation after making the decision last August to place José Miguel González Robles in the general secretary of the PP of León to be a trusted man of Teodoro García Egea, general secretary of the party at the national level.

As confirmed from the PP of León, Carmen González Guinda will be his substitute in the Congress of Deputies, which thus regains the position lost on November 10.

Similarly, they have confirmed that the president of the PP of León, Juan Martínez Majo , will propose to the provincial president of New Generations of the PP, David Fernández Menéndez , as the new general secretary of the PP of León.
