How will we Swedes be affected?

- Finnair and all Finnish-flagged vessels will be affected. Nearly 300 flights are canceled and 20,000 travelers remain on the slopes. Thousands of passengers who would travel with the ferries are affected. Viking Line is the worst affected. At least five of their ferries are taken out of traffic.

How long do you think the strike will last?

- The postal strike has been going on for three weeks and there is no solution in sight. No one knows when negotiations will resume for the conflict is so locked. It can be long-lasting. Finland's industry has suffered and it will be incredibly expensive. It is also embarrassing for the Finnish government, whose social democratic government has been active in the unions before.

How do the sympathy strikes work?

- It is the sympathetic strikes that affect the most. The hopes were to hit the big drum to end it today, but it didn't help. Point strikes in various areas, especially transport, are ongoing for a few days. So the flight and ferries should start again on Tuesday or Wednesday.

What led to the locked position?

- The government post has 10,000 employees, but this mainly concerns the 700 people who sort and handle packages. Posten wants to reduce their salaries by 30 per cent in order to compete, but the employees want the same agreement as other postal employees and do not want to agree on a reduced salary.
