The 300-square-meter National Hall in Varberg's fortress has been filled with creations of different colors and shapes - all built in Lego this weekend.

- It is from the rather classic building to houses that are in reality and the Öresund train that runs around here, says Adrian Alebo Andersson, guide and receptionist at Halland's cultural history museum.

In addition to families with children, there have been much older enthusiasts on site during the two days that the exhibition has been open.

- Many people think that it is really cool that this happens in Varberg, continues Adrian Alebo Andersson.

"Imagination and tenacity are required"

It is members of the Swebrick association who are behind the creations and they see an increased interest in building with the Danish bricks.

- It's easier to be a nerd today than it was a few years ago. We usually say that people come out of the Lego wardrobe. There are many who may like to build but have not dared before, says Leonard von Wolcker, regional manager for Swebrick in Halland.

He estimates that the total construction time for the works shown this weekend goes up to several years.

- I think it can be about half a million pieces, he continues.

Exhibiting in this way describes Leonard von Wolcker as an ego booster, but he and the other members also hope to inspire children and adults to build more with the bricks.

What does it take to be a good builder?

- Wild imagination, perseverance and a little Lego, says Leonard von Wolcker.
