Now David Åhman, along with his teammate, has also taken home a historic podium at the Aspire Beach Volleyball Cup in Doha.

International pallet placements and medals have been performed by Swedish men's teams before, but not in competitions sorted during the world tour.

- Bronze is a boost for self-confidence and motivation. It is proof that we can and should be part of and be recognized for medals at one-star world tour competitions in the future, ”says Åhman and Hellvig in a press release.

Danced the medals home

Last Wednesday they won the group stage but lost in the semi-finals. On Friday night they secured the bronze - and it was celebrated with a dance.

According to the press release, the dance has become something of a sign after being named "The dancing kings" during the Youth Olympics.

- It means a lot when we get the audience on our side - it gives a mental takeover. The opponents seem to be shaky and stressed by it. At the same time it makes us extra tagged, says David Åhman.
