The 8th Emirates International Oncology Conference recommended care for recovering patients and following up their medical, psychological and social conditions, as they are of great importance in the full recovery and return to normal life.

He urged increased interest in conducting research and studies in the field of oncology, making use of its results, reducing the use of hormone replacement, and adopting a healthy lifestyle, to avoid tumors.

He also called for the utilization of modern techniques and the results of artificial intelligence in therapy.

The conference, organized by Tawam Hospital and concluded its work yesterday, the importance of early detection of the tumor, and attention to pre-diagnosis through prevention, to get the best treatment results, stressing the need to avoid the negative impact of professional fatigue of doctors working in the oncology departments, and reduce the effects of stress That they are exposed to during treatment.

During the conference, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Abu Hulaiga, Consultant of Hematology Oncology, reviewed the advanced treatments for blood tumors, especially gene therapy, so that white blood cells fight the tumor. It is a newly discovered treatment with positive results and is applied in the United States.

Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Samaia, Head of Radiation Therapy Department at Tawam Hospital, stressed that technological advances have made a significant change in radiation treatments, pointing out the positive effects of trapping and eliminating the disease, as well as reducing the side effects associated with radiation therapy.

The conference included a special workshop for doctors, radiologists and researchers, as well as sessions on the treatment of tumors in adults and children, and a special session for recovering patients and survivors, to share their experiences and therapeutic journey.

Also participating in the conference were doctors trained in SEHA hospitals, and presented research and studies through posters (posters) focused on tumors.
