It is common that typical medicines are not in stock at pharmacies, this shows a survey done by SVT News. Of twelve medicines examined, six are missing in over half of the country's pharmacies.

The Swedish Pharmacy Association believes that the pharmacies almost always have what the customers demand in stock, but on the contrary, the chief medical officer Maria Björqvist says that the problems are gigantic.

- The problem on the children's side is that there are no copies, she says. I understand that it is a problem on the adult side but when I tell my adult colleagues what it is like in the children's ward they just gap.
