The idea of the race is that it should be noted that October 1 is the International Day of Elderly, plus that it is a way of making visible the elderly in the city.
Exactly how many participants came to the start is unclear, but there were 220 applicants who had set their sights on the 600 meter long track through the Garden Association.
Behind the event is the organization Senior Gothenburg together with the district's health promotion and prevention activities. First October is International Elder Day. The race was arranged to highlight and make it visible.
