The Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, Major-General Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Marzouqi, said that the focus was on the centers, where car fires abound, pointing out that «(fire blanket) proved effective through a scenario of a practical experiment, was implemented at the Academy of Civil Defense to extinguish a vehicle fire "It proved effective in putting out vehicle fires."
He pointed out that «the experience (blanket) has proven its efficiency in extinguishing the fires of cars quickly and effortlessly, and the cost of less than the traditional means of extinguishing».
In a related context, Marzouki warned of fire accidents in vehicles, and the resulting risks of deaths and injuries, as a result of the negligence of motorists to conduct periodic maintenance on parts of the vehicle, especially related to fuel or oils and electrical failures, pointing out that the failure to follow the guidelines of prevention and safety in vehicles, and not Periodic maintenance leads to fires, resulting in loss of life and property, calling on motorists to be vigilant.
He stressed the importance of civil defense to educate individuals about the procedures to be followed at home, road, workplace and car, to ensure the application of the highest standards of prevention and safety in all sites, in order to preserve the safety of all.
He added that the civil defense sector in the State seeks to provide protection, prevention and safety to members of society, by taking preventive measures for firefighting, in addition to precautionary measures leading to avoid risks, and preventive measures from fire and preservation of human lives, all of which are the organization of many educational and guidance lectures And ongoing awareness.
He stressed the importance of the commitment of individuals to apply preventive measures and requirements, in homes, shops and vehicles.

She called on the drivers to carry out regular maintenance of the vehicle, to ensure its validity, and to check the oils and water filling and prevent leakage of oils or oil from the hoses.
