Future Hylte - the coalition between the Social Democrats, Liberals, the Environment Party, the Left Party and SPI Welfare - has been actively working since 2016 to acquire land and develop detailed plans in attractive locations around the municipality. Investments have been made in Torup and Hyltebruk, among others.

Now the view is set to Unnaryd.

- It's being built too little in Hylte. We want to create attractive places to live and develop in the eastern part of the municipality, says Ronny Löfquist (S), chair of the local council.

The plots are divided into three areas, where the area closest to the water only allows single-storey houses. The other two areas also allow multi-storey and multi-dwelling houses.

A total of SEK 7.5 million is allocated, of which 3.5 million is for land purchases and 4 million for exploitation.

- This is a very big investment in developing Unnaryd. It is as if it has invested 75 million in Halmstad.

In two weeks, the City Council takes a position on the proposal, and if it is pushed through, construction starts are estimated to spring 2020.
